With rebilling switched on, every Tekmatix account sits on one of three options for AI. This post is here to stop you guessing.
The short answer: most accounts should stay on pay-per-use and watch their numbers for a month. Upgrading before you know your usage is how people overpay.
Pay-per-use. No monthly fee. You top up a wallet and draw down against it. You pay token cost for AI Studio, Ask AI and Agent Studio, and per-unit rates for everything else.
AI Employee Growth, USD $99/month. Allowances built in: 1,000 conversation AI agent responses a month, 100 voice AI minutes a month, unlimited Reviews AI, unlimited Content AI, and Ask AI and AI Studio usage included. Already included if you are on the Max Plan.
AI Employee Super, USD $149/month. Unlimited conversation AI, unlimited voice AI, unlimited prompt optimiser, and 3x the included Ask AI and AI Studio usage.
Everyone gets 1,000 Funnel AI prompts a day regardless of plan, and Workflow AI and Email AI are included on all three subject to fair use.
This is the bit worth two minutes of your time.
Conversation AI is $0.03 per message on pay-per-use. Growth includes 1,000 responses for $99. So on conversation AI alone, pay-per-use is cheaper until roughly 3,300 messages a month, at which point Growth's cap becomes the constraint anyway.
Voice AI is $0.03 per minute plus voice cost. Growth includes 100 minutes. That allowance is modest, so if voice is central to how you operate, look at Super rather than Growth.
Reviews AI is $0.15 per response and unlimited on both paid plans. If you respond to 100 reviews a month, that is $15 on pay-per-use. Nowhere near the cost of a plan on its own, but it stacks.
Content AI at $0.135 per 1,000 words means 10,000 words a month costs $1.35. Content volume alone almost never justifies an upgrade.
The pattern: it is voice and conversation volume that pushes you onto a plan, not content or reviews.
Stay on pay-per-use if:
You use AI occasionally rather than daily
You have no AI agents running on live conversations
Your main use is content, reviews or the odd Ask AI query
You do not know your usage yet — this includes almost everyone reading this in week one
Look at Growth ($99) if:
You have conversation AI answering inbound messages every day
You are producing content and responding to reviews at volume
You want a predictable line item rather than a variable one
Your monthly pay-per-use spend has crept past roughly $90 two months running
Look at Super ($149) if:
Voice AI is doing real work in your business, not just experiments
You blow past 1,000 conversation responses a month
You are running AI Studio jobs heavily and want the 3x allowance
The $50 gap between Growth and Super is worth not thinking about caps ever again
Do not estimate. Look.
Go to Settings > Billings in your account. Every transaction is listed there.
Run one full month on pay-per-use with your normal workload.
Total your AI spend at the end of it.
If it landed under $99, stay where you are. If it landed near or above it, upgrade and stop watching the meter.
There is an email usage estimator on the rebilling page for the email side of things, and we are adding a broader pricing calculator to the same page shortly so you can model AI and messaging before you commit.
Your AI plan does not cover SMS, calls, phone numbers or email sending. Those are separate usage costs on every plan, priced by the second and by the segment, and they vary a lot by country. Australian outbound SMS is $0.0773 per segment. Australian outbound MMS is $0.5250 per segment. That is not a typo, and it is why the SMS section of the rebilling page is worth reading properly.
