Recognising learner progress is a powerful way to keep people engaged, motivated and moving forward.
And now, Tekmatix makes it even easier to automate that recognition.
You can now issue badges automatically through Tekmatix Workflows and trigger additional automations whenever a badge is awarded.
That means learner achievements can become part of a much bigger automated journey, without you needing to manually monitor progress or follow up every time someone hits a milestone.
There are two new badge automation capabilities available inside Workflows.
The new Issue Badge action allows you to automatically award a selected badge when someone reaches the conditions you have defined inside your workflow.
For example, you could issue a badge when someone:
Completes a particular stage of your program
Reaches an important learning milestone
Completes an onboarding process
Achieves a specific result
Meets criteria you have configured within your automation
Instead of manually awarding badges, Tekmatix can now take care of this automatically.
To add badge recognition to your automation:
Go to Workflows inside your Tekmatix account.
Open an existing workflow or create a new one.
Configure the trigger and conditions that represent the milestone you want to recognise.
Add a new workflow action.
Select Issue Badge.
Choose the badge you want to award.
Save and publish your workflow.
When a contact reaches that point in the automation, Tekmatix will automatically issue the selected badge.
Tekmatix has also added a Badge Issued trigger.
This allows you to start an entirely new workflow whenever a particular badge is awarded.
For example, when someone earns a badge, you could automatically:
Send them a congratulations email
Send an SMS or other follow-up message
Update information on their contact record
Add a tag
Move them into another stage of your customer journey
Start another automation
Notify a member of your team
Begin a new nurture or engagement sequence
This turns badges into much more than visual recognition.
They can now become automation events that determine what happens next in the learner or customer journey.
To create a badge-triggered workflow:
Create a new Workflow in Tekmatix.
Choose Badge Issued as your workflow trigger.
Select the relevant badge.
Add the actions you want Tekmatix to perform after the badge has been awarded.
Save and publish your workflow.
Now, whenever that badge is issued, the follow-up workflow can run automatically.
Badges are most valuable when they represent meaningful progress.
By connecting badges to Tekmatix Workflows, you can make recognition part of the overall learner experience instead of treating it as a standalone feature.
Learners are more likely to continue when they can see evidence of their progress.
Automated badges can give people another visible marker that says:
You’re progressing. Keep going.
You no longer need to manually track every learner milestone and remember to award recognition.
Once your workflow is configured, Tekmatix can manage the process automatically.
Different achievements can trigger different experiences.
Someone earning an introductory badge might receive encouragement to begin the next module.
Someone earning an advanced badge could receive an invitation to another program, certification pathway, community, coaching offer or next-level experience.
One of the biggest advantages is that learner activity can become part of your broader business automation strategy.
Instead of having your courses sitting separately from your CRM, communications and marketing automations, Tekmatix allows you to connect the different parts of the customer journey together.
Here are a few ways you could use the new badge automation features.
Award badges when learners reach important stages throughout your program and automatically send encouraging messages.
Use several badges throughout your training to encourage learners to continue progressing towards the next achievement.
When a learner earns a particular badge, automatically send information about the next program, workshop, membership or service that may be relevant to them.
Use badges as part of a broader recognition system for members who achieve specific milestones within your ecosystem.
A particular badge could trigger an internal notification so your team knows when someone has reached an important stage and may benefit from personal outreach.
This update gives course creators, educators, coaches and membership owners another way to connect learning progress with automation.
Instead of simply awarding a badge and ending the interaction there, you can now use that achievement to determine exactly what happens next.
That could mean recognition, encouragement, personalised communication, additional learning opportunities or the beginning of an entirely new customer journey.
And because it all happens through Tekmatix Workflows, you can build the process once and allow your automation to take care of the rest.
More improvements to badges and learning automations are on the way.
